Scholarly Journal Request

Okay, sorry to post this here, but I sure as hell know not to put it into the CORe.

If anyone has access to the full text of articles from Current Opinion in Gastroenterology and could help me I'd greatly appreciate it. My "institution" (Ohio State University) doesn't have an electronic or print subscription, and I really don't feel like requesting it from Case Western, besides that, my presentation on non-mast cell released histamine will be a week from today and I don't think it would get here in time to be useful.

So, if you're bored, log into your institution's library and see if you could hook a brother up.

Thanks.

do these articles appear on e-print servers? I know they do at least in astrophysics, physics, and geology. Maybe you could try looking for such a server.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean (or what it is) by an "e-print server." I'm assuming that it's a repository with which you can purchase articles? Basically, right now I'm logged into what is called OLink which is a repository of the journals that are subscribed to by Ohio universities. Case Western has a print subscription, but no school has an electronic subscription. It looks like the journal is available for subscription through Wolters Kluwer Health sources, but I don't appear to have access to it (via OVID).

I can work without the article, but it's nice in that the journal does a yearly summary of current models of gastric secretion. It's kind of a compilation of current theories in regard to gastric secretion. (In other words, I can be lazy and instead of having to read lots of articles, I can read one. )

Thanks for the input by the way.

I mean like a preprint server: where people put papers on that haven't been published yet. Those in physics do it all the time. An example is astro-ph for astrophysics

Ah, I understand. Usually I can get preprint articles off of pubmed. The article I'm looking for is from November of last year. I'm not sure of any specific e-print servers for medicine/biology, but I'll take a look around.

Thanks again.

I could have helped you. But my university doesn't have a subscription to this journal. I checked their website but I was denied download access to the publications. Sorry

Thanks for looking. It appears not to be a very popular journal. I'll manage without it.

My university has electronic full-text subscription from what appears to be 1999 to 2007.

Leave me some details and I'll have a look for you

Thanks again! So, do I need to put "NoError" in the Acknowledgments section?
