i just formatted my computer and used to be able to see the thumbnail for any psd in windows explorer, and now i do not.

i checked the "save preview " setting within the preferences under file handling

photoshop is installed again, but id like to be able to see the preview of the psd's within windows, so i dont have to open photoshop up all the time.

any help would be ace

i think what he means is that he used to be able to see the thumbnail, and now he can't. thumbnail views of other files will still show up, but PSDs won't.

i have the same problem and i'm not sure how to fix it... but i'd love to find out if there's a way.

FYI this is a windows tweak. you must edit the registry for that to happen. i dont remember what it is but search google for "show thumbnail as icon"

i actually found this site, gives u a step by step on how to fix this...

didnt work for me though, its worked for others, maybe it will work for you.

yeah, i couldn't get mine to work...so i did a system restore, (restoring all my registry shenanigans) uninstalled photoshop cs 2 (v 9.0.2)

RE-installed photoshop 7.0.1 to photoshop cs (v 8), and im going to update to cs 2 again.

i got my thumbs back tho.
