Pioneer S-FL1 or other Portable Speakers

With these pioneers are these powered or not?

I'm looking for some decent portable speakers that are powered so I can lug them around without an amp

They are passive, in other words you need an amp.

Jarv

PS Active would mean they were powered.

I listened to those JBL speakers at Guitar Center. They sounded pretty good as far as PA speakers go.

I use Yamaha BR15's. They are passive and sound very nice, which is surprising considering that I'm running them from a Gem Sound XP-550, which is only $150 but pumps out 300W RMS.
