Xone 92 cuing system help

I've never played on a xone 92 before and this friday I'm getting the opportunity at a local lounge. A few friends have said that they don't like the cuing system on the Xone and that it's extremely complicated.

I've looked at pictures of the mixer in hopes that that would give me some insight, but there are a lot of buttons and knobs on there that I have no history with. I'm used to simply pressing the cue button to hear the song I'm cuing up in my headphones and simply bringing up the faders and EQs to transition, but based on what I've heard, it's not that simple.

This might not be easy to clarify but if anyone could possibly explain how the cuing system works so I won't have to dive into this experience blindfolded, I'd greatly appreciate it.

It's just like the mixer you have at your house. Push the button above the channel you want to hear, use the "Mix" (I think that's what it's called, but it's basically the same as the "Blend" knob on your mixer) to control how much of the master you hear in the cans.

You're not going to have any problems - and it sounds like some of your friends are idiots, Andy

/me hopes you weren't referring to any MWTA's

It's the Xone62 that is a little weird to cue with. I still haven't really gotten it, but then again I have only used one twice.

I really don't understand what all the fuss abou cueing on a 62 is about.

As soon as I had mine out of the box I "got it."

cool

Yeah, a lot of people find it weird though. It's not quite the same as a Pioneer and it's definitely not the same as my Numark. But I make do with it.

good luck Andy! what lounge are you playing at? Rob and i would be there to show our support but we'll be up in Point this weekend.

oh, i have a DJM-500 at home but i've never had any problems with cuing on the 62 or the 92. i wish my mixer had a feature like the Cue/Add Mix knob on the 92.

Lemon on oakland. We went to an EMC meeting on campus last night and both nate and I got slots for tomorrow there. I'm pretty excited to say the least

i have a 62, and i dont think its a big deal not having a 'blend' nob or fader, i just press cue on my new track, and if i want to hear my current playing track just press the cue button for its channel, simple really, and it lets me adjust my gains perfectly. only drawback i find is that i cant hear my eq's or filters in cue mode in my headphones, which would be nice.

I thought you could hear the EQ's in cue mode, just not the filters (unless you're listening to the master in the cans for some reason)...
