Never played on one before, but there's a guy selling one for $125 and i was thinking of getting it for my girlfriend as she's learning to spin records. I had her using my old djm 300, but just got rid of it, how does it compare to a djm 300? i figure for $100-125 it's a good deal, but like i said i've never used one so i dont know.

I use the VMC 004, but its essentially the same mixer (mine just has more channels). I'd reccomend it 100%. Basically this mixer has got what any basic mixer needs in order to DJ, and it's built with quality. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but that's why you can get it for a good price. Faders feel nice, as well as the knobs. My only complaint is that it doesn't have all the nice little features that other mixers have, but that's just me. I'd say it's a perfect starting mixer. I can't compare it to a DJM 300 because I've never used one. $125 for the VMC 002 is a good deal, I'd go for it.

thanks, ya thats pretty much what i thought. dont need anytihng fancy, i got my xone62 for that, just two channels and decent sound really. might as well buy it.
