Nicholas Licitra - Redemption

This is my first track that I have stuck with and put a lot of work into but I still feel like more work could be done. I used this song to experiment and learn as well as practice producing. I used FL Studio 6.

I'd appreciate any input, no matter how brief. Like I said, this is my first track but I don't want you to "go easy" on me. If there is a part (or all of it) that is horrible, let me know! Thanks and I hope you enjoy listening.

Listening now as I type.

First of all for your first tune this is very good.

I am not sure what style it meant to be in, it sound dayted in terms of trance, but none the less it is cool.

I'd try bring out the kick, or use a better sample.

The arp is nice, the Saw Synth needs more work, it sounds cheap as it is, if you're after a super saw, then it needs more detuning and some reberb delay on it possibly to make it fatter.

possilby look at adding changes off key for th ebassline, give it a more progressive flow.

The breakdown is really nice. Melody wise the tune is pretty good.

I think the main issue here is your tune has a very "preset" sound, which is somethign everyone suffers from at the start of production.

Work on production qualities maybe try remixing a tune so you can focus on just the "sound" of things as appose to melodies, there are midi's floating about fo most popular songs.

For your first effort though its very impressive mate.

I encourage you to work on producing, because putting this much effort in first time round will always pay off in future tunes.

Good work.
