record hole sizes

hey I have a question. I have a few of those records where for some reason they cut the center hole too big, and its hard to que w/o skipping. i stick a little folded over duck tape on them to just keep em.. but ducktape comes off and isnt that cool..

so anyway I came up with this nifty idea how to fix it. oughta cost like 15cents a piece -- pretty cheap.

i was just woundering -- do allot of you guys have this prob? cuz if so i think i'm gonna see if i can sell em to record shops.. maybie get a little vinyll money!!

hah

let me know guys

If you have a technics deck, there is a metal round thing in the top left.

Round metal thing + big hole record

sorry i think im mixing you up.

you are talking about the big hole on the 7" singles -- not a 7" hole.

i am talking about when they press a 12" and make the hole too big by misstake

on some records i got from xtc, the hole was too small, i would have to squash the record onto my tables, so i took a knive and took some out of the middle, not too much though

i was thinking just get a really thin washer thats the right size. cut a larger circle out of a thin sticker w/ strong glue.. punch out the center of the sticker and if u did it right it should be flat enough not to get in the way, but the washer will keep it in place.
