How did anyone think this was ever going to be a decent movie?

Looked absolutely horrid in the previews.

Lack of character development was unreal...literally...none. I couldn't have cared less if anybody died. I had NO idea who any of these people was. It might've been the worst character development ever.

Ben Affleck did get mowed down 30 min. into the movie, which was, indeed, the best part of the movie. I couldn't believe it actually happened. I was convinced he was going to come back to life at some point or something.

And omg wtf ending?!?!?!!? The ending was so random and so pointless, it took a 5-minute speech by Andy Garcia just to explain it and why it mattered at all, because you hadn't heard anything about it at all before, and the character who gets his secret identity revealed (in an attempt to be like the Usual Suspects), you had only heard talk for about 30 seconds!!! Making a big revelation that some guy who wasn't even in the movie is actually somebody else is so pointless.

Also, Alicia Keys & some other random whiney chick were supposed to be this deadly assassin duo...most unbelievable casting evar. I couldn't wait to get them out of the damn movie. They were both terrible, their parts were both so overdramatic, and they didn't wind up doing anything at all. If you're going to write-in a part for a female assassin, make it believable--not some cliche obnoxious, loud, flashy stereotype.

Here's why the ad looks good and the movie sucks, though:
You see the ad and think, "ooh, a bunch of insane assassins all compete to kill this guy, and there's some big showdown at the end of the movie with some total craziness to finish it up.
Then you actually see the movie, and they're all on the same floor as the guy they're trying to kill after the movie's only halfway done! So, basically, the plot goes NOWHERE for the other half of the movie. All the dialogue gets long & drawn out & all emotional, and everything grinds to a halt.


Basically, yes, it sucked. After thinking about it some more, I'll just say it's a bad movie with some funny lines in the 1st half, and that's it. Don't go see it. You'll be disappointed.

you should have went to see Stomp The Yard

Did most of you go to see this movie expecting character depth and some dramatic storyline? I don't see why you would have because you don't draw any of that from the trailer they showed.

I want into the theater expecting to be entertained by this movie. I wasn't there for some dramatic action flick, I just wanted to have fun. I left the theater feeling entertained.

I do however agree that the ending was kinda dumb. Why would they allow him in the room by himself with the two guys that underwent the surgery? He was supposed to be the man with the knowledge of decades of organized crime that the FBI had been trying to get for many years. They finally had him and allow a crazed FBI agent who pulled a gun on his 'boss' to simply be in the room by himself?
