The new key lock for SSL 1.7
I've used this for a few days now and am very impressed by the way key lock is implemented on the new SSL software version 1.7.1... I never thought I'd hear a key lock that actually did its job without massive distortion and pumping.
As it is, there is some slight distortion, and on some songs it is more obvious than others, but overall, this is something you could use for an entire set, and if you didn't tell the listener it was on, they'd never take note of the difference. It's really amazing to speed a vocal track up 12% and have it sound ALMOST as good as the original tempo.
Just curious what others think of it so far... I have gotten a few negs from a couple hip hop DJ's on another forum, but as far as trance music goes... seems pretty smooth.
