Wink

i know a lot of you have been complaining about the amount of "dark trance" that is being played...but, i kind of like it for a change. don't get me wrong, i love uplifting trance, but i also don't mind trance that had an darker, gothic feel to it. i was at a club tonight and i heard such a song, and it sounded really deadly. the track is:

--> apotheosis - o' fortuna (apocalypse chorus mix)

...i hope that someone can recommend more trance like this...

Hehe, this is the best example how one considers dark trance what other thinks of as progressive house what again somebody else thinks is tech-trance ... just made me laugh out loud =) (in a good way).

Hello! Tech Trance

I love some of the Tech Trance that's about
classic examples being:-

Oliver Lieb - Subraumstimulation ( Jonhson Mix )
Red Shift - Descender
YLEM - All Paths lead to SOL
Planisphere - Eyes of Truth ( Green Martian Mix )
Sunscream - Exodus ( Chiba Mix )

Dark Trance is pretty cool too

Question

U think Lawler's Nu Breed is trance?

Lawler's is the U.K's Danny Tenaglia.

I would consider pistol whip to be tech trance. Anyway I love that song ... I'm sick of how new music in the States is always a month or two behind Europe. Just recentely I'm dancing at a party and I hear a familiar song and I'm like: hmmm ferry corsten spun this at trance energy last april. So irritating!! Anyway pistolwhip is one of the few songs that I can think of that was semi-popular in the states before it caught on in Europe. Haha take that!

Thumbs up

The biggest influence in my opinion right now in dark trance in the US has to be Steve Porter. He has remixed everyone from anthony Pappa to Steve Lawler. He has about 15-20 new releases out this year already and is only getting more and more popular. I have a slight bias in the fact that i know him but believe me check out his stuff and im sure you will agree. For those stateside he spins deep dark trance weekly in Boston ala tenaglia till the early morning hours.
