I couldn't agree more! EOS FTW! The back room really owned the place last night, went out to the main room at 3 a.m. and there was no one there (I mean literally, DJ and lighting tech excepted)...
imo, Circus needs to promote itself a little more in advance, I usually don't know what's going on more than a week ahead (except for Yahel on 3/3/07, but I know there's something else I gotta do then...) A lot of people travel in from out of town, etc. and can't plan properly at the last minute. There was also a lot of competition with Oakenfold at QM, and Vanguard made a can of sardines look spacious!
Lastly, I'll just say that it's the music that draws me into a club, so I'm not gonna get into the promoter bashing thing. I'll be at Avalon next week, maybe Red the night before, Vanguard the next week and probably back to Circus as well. Sometimes the best nights are when I don't run with the herd. There were some amazing sets last night (many of which, ironically, were played with videos of Sensation White 2005 in the background...and every single set at Circus was better than most of the music that I heard at Sensation White 2006!)
