Asus K8V SE Deluxe, VIA KT800T northbridge chipset
1GB PC3200 DDR RAM
120GB Seagate SATA-150 HDD
20GB Fujitsu PATA-100 HDD (Vista installed here, drive slow as fuck)
BFG GeForce 6800 GS OC video
SB Live! Value sound
And yeah, I'm running this as a secondary OS, I still use XP Pro installed on my 120GB drive as primary. However, I've been using Vista almost exclusively for about a week now. The last build I was on, 5472 would BSOD a lot, but this one is rock solid so far.
Yes it uses a lot of memory, but what power user doesn't have 1GB or more these days?

I haven't, actually. The last thing I overclocked was my old Thunderbird core Athlon 1400 on an MSI K7T-Turbo RAID mobo. The ****** would idle at 65 degrees C with a Globalwin FOP38 HSF, so I ran some dryer ducting out the window and overtop of the CPU/HSF with 2 Sunon 12cm fans in it - idled at 18 degrees after that. Mind you, this was the dead of winter.
Managed to get it up to 1600 flat, but anymore than that and she'd shit out. That was the absolute max for that core, I suppose.
Also, I have no idea how to even go about overclocking this thing. It's seriously been about 4 years since I last did that stuff. How does one do it these, days, FSB stuff or what?
