2007 yet another vintage year for trance

Many of us have been bitchin' about "oh trance ain't what it used to be" and 1999 was the last year it was good, bla bla bla.

I must say that based on what I am hearing now - in clubs, new releases, and yes, even ASOT - I have to admit that era of great trance is once again upon us.

I think Aly and Fila are the hottest producers ATM and will be scorchers this year, right along side with SvD.
Your thoughts?

And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Some others I would consider as "refreshing":

Martin Roth
Mike Shiver
Capetown (aka Airwave)
Sean Tyas

and quite few others

I'm not bitching... the late 90s was the era of trance, but now that shit is tired. Move on to other things... evolve. Don't be stuck on one sound or style. People change... so does music. Thank god trance died.... in 1999. The world would have ran out of pillows.

Hmm, Aly & Fila? no... it's way to generic imo :/ I really loved their old tracks but now it seems they went Asotwhoring with Armin.. bleh.. it's not what it's supposed to be.. There are a few good tracks tho.. like their remix of Empty by Sassot

Why? Just because you don't find his productions/sound pleasing does not mean that it is bad, does it?

their remix of deems - 'tears of hope' is ok, you might enjoy it if you liked empty

Well, it is certainly not 'refreshing'.
