This is my sixth year going to Miami and I am more excited than ever...I always come down by train from Boston every year by myself. I feel that when I went with friends, there were all these moods always being thrown around, and you know how attitudes can be when you are up three or four days straight...after Ultra, than going to Space, etc and when all the party favors and drinks take their turns, everyone wants to do their own thing sometimes. So I decided years ago to go alone, that way I go where I want, go see whom I want, and leave when I want, and meet cool people and party with whomever I want along the way. Yeah it's lonely alot, but still great experiences.

SO TO START THINGS OFF: Tiesto on Friday with The Cure at Ultra (How amazing is that!!!) There really is no reason, for me at least, to see Tiesto in a more private venue, like Mansion. I saw him at Avalon twice last year, and on New Years Eve and it's beautiful there, and it's like he is on the 1's and 2's in your freaking living room. PVD and Timo Mass with Carl Cox at Ultra Saturday, well that is fine, but I still think the show to see this year, save JP's Marathon, would be PVD with Sander and Sander Afterhours at Club Space. Even 'before 1am' tickets are now sold out on their site, but you can get them in a plethura of ways, email me if you need suggestions.

This is whom I am going to see for the week, I thought I would share it with you, any maybe we can get together and I can buy you a cocktail when I'm not dancing my life away. I love good people and good music.

Tuesday, March 20

I am going to go to TWILO to see Judge Jules, Christoper Lawrence and Above and Beyond. Also George Acosta, king of trance will be spinning, so after his years at SPi or Spin, it will be great to see him before all the crowds start spitting in from all over. I cant think of a better way to open the party train up. I know CHRIS LAWRENCE is playing at a few places, but I thought seeing him at Twilo, to start out the week would be really intense. What do you think?

Fischerspooner, in case you folks didn't know, and it's not well publicized, is going to be at Mansion that same night with Junkie XL, you can get tickets at wanttickets.com for that. That should be really intense.

Weds, March 21.

I really am undecided. Oakenfold at the Shelbourne Hotel Pool I suppose would be ideal, since he is not playing Space, but I mean how many times can one see Oakey, it does get tiring. He is playing with Chris Lawrence I think, and since I am seeing him the night before, well I think I may pass.

Danny Howells is doing an intense hourly set at Pawn Shop which should be very quiant and homey. It's only 25.00 to get in, so that should be a good show 11 to 8am

Ali (Dubfire from Deep Dish) is playing Mynt the same night, and wow, there are so many people to see. Seeing him alone, rather than with Sharam at Space, will probably be a very good set, and it, IMHO, should be one of the highlights of the week. Thurs, March 22. THIS IS A HUGE NIGHT, WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO

Opium Garden is the place to be all day long, where instead of at night, you have DJ Dan from San Fran, James Zabeila, who is just too underrated and just blows my mind away, and Paulo Mojo, who is one of my favorite dj's in the world on the decks during the sun. That is from 11am-9pm, so that is a great way to relax for the day, have a few sex on the beaches and prepare for the night. It is 25.00 to get in.

From 11pm to 5am at Shine, and it's free if you have a WMC pass, is 'Satoshi Tomiie,' so that is WHERE TO BE THIS NIGHT END OF STORY. Not too promoted either, which is good; should be a good, die hard crowd. David Morales is playing as well, but we dont want to be with the David Morales crowd, do we. LOL.

However the big dilemma, is the Roxy's Legendary Jonathan Peters with his Marathon Set at Space on the Terrace, which is half a C-note.? Worth it? or not? I mean any show that JP does is worth 100 a ticket, at least in my experience with him.

But to see Sasha and Digweed together again at the hip, quaint, yet disgustingly ostentatious Mansion, Thurs Night and to want to give the Opium Group even more cake than they already have, well it's probably not for me, but still, what do you think? I mean I am going for the music. Would you choose JP or Sasha?

Gabriel and Dresden are at Nikki Beach, $45.00 dollars, but the first 50 with WMC badges get in comp.

Johnny Vicious and Liquid Todd and some choice others are at The Clevander on Ocean Drive, and Johnny Vicious is such an amazing producer. His remixes of classics throughout the past ten years are truly defining moments of my clubbing. and that's free, 11am to 10pm.

AND THE LEGENDARY Victor Calderone, which is mostly hip to the gay crowd, is playing at the Shelbourne Pool with the infamous Danny Teneglia 12pm to 9pm all day. $45

Naturally at Night you have Ultra for Tiesto and The Cure.

So what to do after, is if I am not already dying from hardly any sleep. Well there is the Carry On Venue that Ultra is having afterhours, that should be pretty amazing, it has been in the past, Area-51 stuff I think agian this year.

PVD is playing at night with Sander K at Space, and tickets for the 1am are gone at least. After Hours with Sander would probably be much better, since before that it will be all the spill over from Ultra and as most of you know Sander is better in the wee hours of the morning!

Gabril and Dresden at the Pawn Shop. (I think I may go to this, as I dont want to see PVD at Space again after seeing him outside at Ultra on Saturday) What does everyone think about these two at a place like Pawn Shop? Good choice?

At Nocturnal,(what a stupid name) 50 NE 11th St, in walking distance of Space and Bicentennial Park, a great set with Dave Ralph, who's recent residence has been at Avalon in Boston, uncomprimising Dave Ralph as Seb says. Free before 12.

Forget the rest, Ultra is where to be all day and night till 12. and don't worry, PVD even though he is closing out Ultra, he wont run into Armin electrifying the masses at Twilo. Check Armin Van Buren out at Twilo after Ultra, then head to see Sharam at Space. I also heard Steve Lawler is doing the Ultra Aferhours. BRING HEAVY FUNDS. SERIOUSLY. AND GET YOUR PASSES IN ADVANCE

Details:The Hi-Tek Soul event is Derrick May’s signature event that is based on the documentary film “High Tech Soul” that depicts the creation of Techno music in the late 80’s. Before there was house music, raves, trance and progressive, all dance music was called techno. That was because that style of dance music was never heard of until Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson got together and started making techno music. The Hi-Tek Soul event has been a hit all around the world from San Francisco to Japan. Just last month Hi-Tek Soul made its big London premier at the world’s most famous nightclub, London’s Ministry of Sound. The Hi-Tek Soul WMC party will truly be one of the most unforgettable events of WMC-07. The lineup is truly unique; the DJ’s are legends that have made an incredible contribution to the electronic music scene, and now you can get a front row seat to see them perform in an intimate and beautiful 500 person venue. DERRICK MAY, one of the most respected DJ’s in the world, also known as the “Godfather of Techno” has been given credit to creating the techno genre along with Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. His label Transmat had its first release “X-Ray” back in 1986, a techy and electro-esque track that still today can rock any club across the globe. Derrick’s aggressive mixing style and energy is very unique and his sets cannot be duplicated by any DJ, even if you gave them his track list. LEE BURRIDGE, is the new innovator of techno, tech-house and minimal/electro genre. His funky and underground style, have made him a favorite among 4 different genres of electronic music. The man was discovered by Sasha and Craig Richards doing an after-hours set in Hong Kong. He was then brought over to London to create Tyrant. Later, followed his extremely successful Global Underground compilations. He has always been ahead of the game; he was playing evil tribal before tribal got hot in early 2000. He introduced electro to the masses by having tons of electro and tech house tracks in his 24:7 Global Underground compilation and that was before anyone played electro. KEVIN SAUNDERSON, respected and acknowledged around the World as one of the three Detroit Techno innovators, Kevin Saunderson is a legend in his own right, who has helped to reshape the future of Dance music as we know it! He is hyperactive and loves making hyperactive music. Sometimes it is 'HARD AS HELL TECHNO' with a bassline from some disturbed parallel universe, and sometimes it's joyous gospel house.
