2. Tube & Berger - The young and the wild ones (Nicolas Stefan Remix)
3. Kaiser Souzai - Gaia (lutzenkirchen remix)

Just skimming through the mix it sounds cool but Im not sure this is the type of music that gets Montreal's (Very picky) stamp of approval, know what I mean?
yea man thats exactly what i was thinking... thats kinda what annoyed me i guess? i hate to sound overly-confident or arrogant but i knew that the mix was pretty solid and maybe the fx were a bit much(?)... but my thing was, i was running with the assumption that a dj competition would be looking to expand the circus sound and not find more of the same sound?
(i am NOT trying to offend any of you guys that mde the competition, i heard your mixes that you posted, which were all top notch, and the performance from all of which on thursday night was even better)
EDIT: any circus staff/admin/promoters on TA feel inclined to throw in their 2 cents?

That is exactly how you sound. And this is not the first time, if I remember correctly.

Also I noticed you work for the Canadian Forces so depending on if your an Officer or an NCM (non-Commissioned Member) and your now in Kingston by the looks of it so your no longer on your basic training where you get paid peanuts. So like I said depending on if your an NCM or Officer and your rank, you probably make at least $50,000 a year but most likely more. And depending on if you live at CFB Kingston your cost of living is probably very low as well, but even if you weren't cost of living in Kingston isn't that bad. Its only $30 which is cheaper than most nights at Stereo. Most of us on here who post about Stereo have put out probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars clubbing there just this year alone, and have never really complained for the most part. I know I sure as hell have.

it's nothing personal, circus is a house club which is looking for a sound that would suit the club well
im sure everyone's mixes were great, but most werent simply circus material

well considering Steve Lawler plays some of these tracks, im not sure you are right.Nick, this city can almost be called the North American capital of dance music. There is just so many people trying to break through in this town it can be hard.Doesn't mean you are a bad dj.In that business it can sometimes be more of a case of who you know bfore what you know.

....
Lawler can also play whatever the fuck he wants and get away with it because of his celebrity status. Guys like Enjoy will eat it up just like if Sasha started playing Gabber Jazz I'd still be like "OMG BEST DJ EVER"
