In case you're not aware, I am one of many promoters that is associated with the entertainment company, Wet Grooves / Carpe Noctrum. I know that when we decide to book a DJ in Dallas, the majority of the time, he/she will have a gig in Austin or Houston the night prior to or the night after their Dallas gig. I find it interesting to hear about the methods that other promoters used to promote that DJ's event been booked in Dallas. I then like to compare & see if there's anything that they're doing that can be done better or if that other group tried& the group I promote with has tried something like that or not. I can say that for the majority of the time, If I were to look at the quality, the amount, and the effort that W.S.P. puts into promoting an event & compare it with the quality, the amount, & the effort that another
If I owned an entertainment company that booked someone like Infected Mushroom, I would expect that the people I put in charge of promotions made sure that all of the advertising opportunities have been used. Throughout my years in the scene, I don't think any other company has done as good of a job as the dog who walked an unknown amount of miles on his own
You know what's strange? Blazen commented that he didn't temember seeing any threads creatyed to promote theted with the purpose of promoting this event. And I'm wondering how much effort was put into promoting this event considering a statement/question made by Blazen who pointed out & wondered why there was not a thread created in T.A. to create/spark interest in this event.
