i liked the dark, nasty build-ups of the first half, but I felt the second half of diggers' set plateau'd, and by 3:00 or 3:30 I was expecting him to bring everybody up for one more climax, but it seemed pretty much 'stay the course,' then it was over. i noticed people weren't dancing so much as standing around and head-bobbing from 3-4...
still amazing how the man can remain completely detached, how he can look as passive as a nuclear power plant technician. "but first up, working like a wizard," says pete tong, "he doesn't jump around much or react to what he's playing, but the place is going nuts. this is john digweed."

first time @ vanguard, sweet spot... love the soundsystem and vibe. but damn, i've never been to any event where they search you so thoroughly. anyway, i thought digweed rocked! i mentioned earlier that although he's my favorite, he tends to start off slow. but that wasn't the case last night. out of all the times i've seen him, this was hands down the best set.
cool meeting TA's mando & svcmethod @ vanguard and sweetcandy girl @ avalon..
