Hey guys,
I'm going to be in Ft. Lauderdale for about four weeks starting this Sunday and I'm looking to go some surf fishing from the beach while I'm there. Not sure how many of you guys are into this but any info on piers, good spots, bait, what's biting, and so on would be much appreciated. Also if any of you guys wanna chill and grab a beer at Hooters or something let me know.....I'm gonna keep the partying to a minimum until WMC though lol.
Thanks in advance!
-Brian

Live finger mullet, squid, and also spoons work occasionally. Theres a wide variety of things u can catch, and all depends on weather conditions. Rougher the better usually.

The closest spot I know is N. Miami Beach.
Take I-95 to N Miami Beach. From where you are it should be towards south a bit.
Take I believe its 163rd street to collins. Meaning u pass US1 ALLLL the way down pass OLETA NATIONAL PARK over the bridge til u hit collins.
At Collins there is a dead end meaning at the light u go straight into a parking lot that leads to a pier. Its right next to or between 2 hotels.
I haven't been there in a while but I remember alot of pier fishing being done there. They also had a bait shop on the pier as well.
Good fishing was Blue Runners & whatever else was biting. They put up a good fight i tell ya.
Not sure of any other spots by Ft Lauderdale.. That's the closest I know of.
