So I went to get some Pho88 in chinatown today and they are closed. Now there's a sign saying it's moving into the space where Sonic was ... kinda sad to see it get replaced.

WOW, that Vietnamese noodle empire is taking over the world. I've eaten at their franchises many times all over the GTA!

edit: quickly Charles K better outbid Pho 88 for the final purchase of the property of 270 Spadina...or the fat lady has finally sang, I mean danced her last tune at SONIC for March 10.

Yeah that's why I was pretty bummed to see Pho88 taking over that space dude. One less venue for TO.

why would charles buy a space/ run a club that can't have a liquor license, the business model doesn't work.

Well at least this place will have a good soundsystem.

The restaurant is simply renovating. They have always used the same address as Sonic (270 Spadina), so they are not moving into Sonic's space. Let's think about it for second...How would a small restaurant the size of Pho suddenly move into a space the size of Sonic. That would be one big restaurant....without windows!!

Beats me, but you should take a look at the sign if your in the area. It says "moving" to 270 Spadina.

Honestly I think it's just "bad english". I would be curious what the asian writing actually says. I thought it said "new location -> 270 Spadina", which probably meant new renovation at this address or something like that.

I did read somewhere else online, that they were renovating and reopening this month in the same location. I will try to find the link later.
