But to begin wanna do some music that is good to start with the follow programs I have.
Wanna know the basics of:
-drum pattern
-bassline
and other facts in music that you should beaware of of producing music like synths (what that may be ? :S )
So hope somebody can help me ?:S
ps: Have looked on the internet for information. |
You don't have to.. but I recommend sticking with Reason and when you feel comfortable with it move on to Cubase.
If you have a midi keyboard just try to loop simple drum and basslines while creating interesting synth sounds and melodies. I say this because if you have nice sounds and melodies etc in a track you can often get away with basic drums. Maybe if you're doing electro or something it might be the other way round though.
I don't have any reason songs but maybe someone could upload one for you as an example?
Have fun!

You want to know the basics of a trance drum pattern? Ok.
Bassdrum - simple 4/4 beat, which means 4 beats every bar, evenly spaced
Snare - ordinarily every other beat, two per bar
Basslines are usually pretty simple, a few notes with some white space.
You're going to want some vst softsynths because the ones that come packaged with reason aren't particularly good. Try z3ta, rapture, or FM8.

Put some random shit into a pianoroll, loop it and twist and turn every knob on your desired synth.. Then you'll learn something.. (Eventually, I will not say how long, as that might scare you a tiny bit)
