Creating the perfect loop on CDJ1000 mk2's

How do you create the perfect loop on the 1000's?

I can create what sounds like a seamless loop on the fly while mixing no problem at all which has took quite a bit of practise over the last few months, but I still can't mix into it as it may be just a fraction out and sends the mix into a trainwreck.

What do you guys do for that technically seamless loop that you can mix in and out of?

Cheers

youll probably need to ride the pitch alot more and pay attention to your mixes if you loop it...

cuz i doubt u will ever get the PERFECT loop in a live gig anyways

You can make a seamless sounding loop but you still have to keep it beatmatched by riding the pitch.

Riding the pitch on the loop or on the incoming tune?

Either will work as long as you're keeping them beatmatched.

Yeah it's REALLY hard to do.

I also have Torq, and Torq has the ability to hit a button and create a 1/2/4 or 8 bar loop. The loops are automatic and are really quite tight, you can mix into and out of them with minimal pitch riding.

Wish the CDJ's had looping that good.

Same here with Traktor... I mix into loops quite often.

well not perfect close enough that you dont need to ride the pitch as much as with the 1000's as the loops are completely manual.

still, 800s and 200s use loops by frame, which aren't that accurate, as say a Cycloops, which seems to be basically spot on all the time, no pitch riding necessary.

dunno how the Cycloops does it, and why CD deck/FX mixer/FX unit manufacturers people haven't employed the same technique.
