Im sure many people feel the same way as you.. For Me, You can't go wrong with Armada night.. Defintely will be one of the best closing parties... plus I plan to see A&B and B&J at the Wetgrooves events...

Thing is, above and beyond will be impossible to see after Ultra at Nikki Beach. So if you plan to see them, see them a different night.

Ok, i've been to Twilo---great venue (when people are there). Now let me tell you about KARU-Y. It is the SWEETEST venue in Miami hands down. BELIEVE ME! The reason you haven't heard of it is b/c it is new. It is downtown but a few blocks away from the other clubs. They put mad amounts of money into it. Their website is KARU-Y.COM check it out. I was there a few weeks ago and i was SO impressed----the A & B, BLANK & JONES and SANDER event is the way to go in my opinion. WHy?? B/c TWILO will be an OVEN / SARDINE factory...KARU & Y, in addition to having acts that don't play as much in the U.S. typically (outside of chicago), it is INDOORS AND OUTDOORS---two distinct environments. INSIDE which is a large space, is one of the largest dynacord soundsystems, and will be the main trance headliners. OUTSIDE is a zen like garden setting, and with those perfect Miami nights, will be featuring prog/trance/house....so if you get tired of one area, venture outside and move around. You will not be disappointed with this place believe me!! i was going to ARmada before i heard about this one. Now, there's no choice.

Also, in general KARU-Y will be catering to a more select crowd. It's high end and classy---not a venue for the SPACE set in general. For WMC--take advantage and check it out!!

Man if it was up to me i'd be heading to many more events than i actually am. Unfortunately i need to work all week, and my job demands that i am up and extremely coherent early in the morning. So Friday and Saturday are it for me. Going to Nite Tennis with Oakey Classics on Friday (FREE) and then to KARU-Y on Saturday---i just hope that a crowd shows up!! Don't know if word is out or everybody will already be at Tiesto and Armada.

so KARU-Y is close to all the other clubs in downtown miami then? like space and twilo? because if i do decide to go to the event there im still planning on goin to nocturnal around 8am to see DJ BORIS up on the terrace so id like them to at least be in close proximity to each other

Its like 3 blocks west of Biscayne, and 3 like 3-4 blocks north of all the clubs... pretty close to Pawn shop and I think that its across that small club whose name I forgot..

Yea you can walk to Nocturnal it's 3 blocks south and 1 east, just as Liquid X said. You do NOT want to go west of Karu-Y unless you have a death wish. One of the worst ghettos in Miami....but i live right on the fringe of that ghetto and walked back from Karu to my place---without incident. I'm sure police presence will be there, and you'll have no problem. I'm telling you as far as swankiness, soundsystem, amenities, etc....Karu is better than Twilo, Space, and Nocturnal. the overall feel is just CLASS. You'd not be disappointed, assuming a crowd fills up. Drinks do tend to track a buck,two or three higher---but in my opinion, sometimes that's worth it.

alrite thanks for the help..i do have one more question since u obviously live in miami...have u heard any word at all about when sound factory miami will be opening and where its gunna be located? i woulda thought for sure they would have it open in time for WMC but i havent heard anything yet

No problem. I just hope people show up on Saturday night. Soundfactory was supposed to open in Fall 2006. They still have the banner on the building that it was supposed to occupy...go figure...right next to TWILO on "club row" in downtown. But the renovations that they are doing to the place and new garage door looking doors on the whole one wall of the building make me think that they've abandoned those plans. Last i heard they were still PLANNING on opening, but in a "to be determined" location. Who knows. I think the market is pretty saturated with large-scale night life spots here...TWILO's building/land is on the market as we speak---FOR SALE. it's tough to make it...TWILO, a pleasant space on the inside....is usually mostly EMPTY on weekends...save for TENAGLIA nights. I was hoping Soundfactory would open and be pretty much a TRANCe club---that'd be cool---but it's been like 5 months at least since i heard a peep about it---deal may have fallen through. I am no expert on it though so maybe someone else can shed light on the subject.

Yea, i'm moving back to Chicago---where surprisingly the clubs are pretty piss poor overall. Hardly anything at all large scale. disappointing for such a great city.
