Can't fault the man when it comes to constantly renewing his output and experimenting with sounds. He invented Digital Hardcore as a genre in its own right, and has done pretty much everything from dark ambient over thrash metal and pure white noise with Merzbow to techno with Ian Pooley(!), who is one of his best friends. This album is a good start to check out his works, as it is quite varied and experimental as a whole.
I have problems with the way he presents political agenda, however. It just comes across as very crass and juvenile most of the time, making stuff like Atari Teenage Riot and EC8OR hard for me to swallow. Still, I was completely glued to the radio when the national station in Norway broadcasted an ATR gig 6-7 years back. Few people can conjure up total sonic onslaught like Mr. Empire can.
