Question fl studio question

using version 5 here..

anyone know if it's possible to assign a 'midi out' channel to an effects plugin within the host.. and if so how?

(it's for a new gating plugin i've just downloaded, it uses a midi pattern to control the gate)

thanks in advance

I thought the idea was to make sure the numbers in the "port" controller on MIDI Out and the upper right hand corner of Wrapper corresponded. I'm pretty sure it worked that way in 5, as that's how I controlled dfx Rez Synth's note values.

mgtriggergate is free and it doesn't use midi data or anything, it just volume gates i believe, so you could go for that as an alternative.

why not version 7?

that was my initial thought, but it didn't seem to do anything when i tried it. unless there's something you have to mess around with in the midi options first?

why not version 7?

i have a volume gater already.. the type i want is where you control the gating yourself, kinda like in vanguard's 'trancegate' feature. i've found a couple of others with built in step sequencers, which will suffice for now (unless i can get the peak controller technique working.. which i haven't quite figured out yet).. but being able to control it via midi would be much less restricting

i've not given 7 a look.. until now 5 has done everything i've wanted it to do. is this kind of thing possible in 7?

mgTriggerGate is basically a standalone version of Vanguards trancegate, with a little more flexibility. It isn't a volume gater per se, and its free. There are two tutorials for the peak controller that explain how to do the effect. They can be found in the tutorial folder when you go to open a project.

Fruity Keyboard Controller

The Fruity Keyboard Controller is an automation control and makes no sound of its own. You can use this plugin to control knob and sliders through out FL Studio. This is achieved by mapping note pitch and velocity fed to the keyboard controller from the Piano roll or Step sequencer to any automatable parameter within FL Studio and 3rd party plugins.

For example, this plugin allows you to quickly implement Pattern Controlled Filtering (PCF), or accurate semitone-to-semitone slides for plugins which do not support natively such features (VSTi and DXi plugins).

The Keyboard Controller exports the following internal controllers:

* Kb Ctrl - Note - The value of this controller depends on value assigned to each key via the Value for the Current Key parameter (see below).
* Kb Ctrl - Velocity - The value of this controller depends on the velocity of the triggered notes.
