Im just curious why are they on there?? WHo uses them>?

What are speed indicators? BPM counters? And why are they on where?

Just an indicator of when you should take your tt's in for tuning. When they spin irregularily you need to get them repaired/tuned.

if you put your pitch to zero and the biggest circle is still moving then it needs a reset or somthing like that.

The dots on the platter co-relate with the pitch control.
They've been around before the Technics 1200 was in existance.

I use them when mixing, for I find it faster to match two songs together then, relying on the percentage reading next to the slider.
