I think that may be part of the point. How do you perform under pressure? 30min is more than enough to bang 5-6 solid tunes.

Yes, for a contest its logical to have such short time to show your skill. Only it doesn't change the fact that many djs can't decide on what are "the best 5 track" at the moment and perfect to play for this contest.
