your survey is inaccurate due to the unscientificness of your sample. you need to choose a sampling method (such as SRS sampling perhaps) that will insure the randomness and diversity of your sample results.
What you are doing now is refered to as a 'convenience sample'.
Anyway, just thought you should know...ugh all those hours of stats are rubbing off it seems

Although the sampling is not random, it can provide useful data that can be used in an analysis (for homework). However, it will never approach the 95% confidence level required of a "true" random sample poll.
