Subtle presents Refined - Transwave (Original Mix) 192 Sample

Alright, ive been working my ass off on this one, i havent been making alot of trance in my time, so this is actually one of the first trance tracks i have ever made, been making more progressive trance stuff.

The work is still in progress, and i would like to know what people actually think of this.

Refined - Transwave SAMPLE

New alias, new style.

I hope you like

Listening, can hear a strong concept right away, those acid synths fits well, pads are great, gets a little repetitive tho, id add some clashes and sweeps, melody is interesting and unique, may i suggest some drum rolls, rhythm is not too busy considering with all instrumentation going on in the back, your bass however, just my own preference, since i am psy head, you could make it more edgy or make it slide from time to time (try to boost up the mids a little, or since your kick already takes a lot of your low end, try to cut some of that and give the rest to the bass), changing octaves could create a sense of variation, got even some lyrics there "energy" very nice. In terms of arrangement however, you have great build ups, changes in interesting ways, however i wish it could be more busier than this. Instrumentation is great, however on the build up, try maybe different percussion samples just to again create variation, that would account for overall song structure to make it different from norms. In terms of performance, I know you've been doing this for quite a while so overall mixing sounds very clean and balanced to me, altho i need to get back home and listen to this on big system, sounds fine in headphones, your techniques are great, however it is more of up and down, no special fx.

Overall I like it, very unusual from your previous projects, would like to hear finished version

Thanks for the comments..

Mega Man, there is something with the bass and kick that needs change, it needs more mids as you suggested, ill work on the points you suggested.. thanks for you thorough feedback.

heya subtle, i like the melody here, has lots of pottential although im not a big fan of the instrumentation on this one. the 303 sound is a bit too harsh at the beggining- maybe take off a little distortion and leave it as more of a sine 303... also the main synth sounded like the resonance was a bit too high but thats all personal preference. hope the arrangement goes fast and easy for ya
