Does anyone know where I can get some free LEGAL hip-hop samples from so that I can practise a bit of scratching on my CDJ's?
You know, the old school stuff like "aaahhh" and "fresh" etc
Cheers

You could always record your own using Audacity. Or download the acapella of some rap track. I know it isn't free, but sounds cool when you scratch vocals over a beat.

TBH, I'm just after a load of short old-school sounding hip hop files. I'm not intending on doing any bootlegs or anything like that.

Because Reason contains the aaaaaa & fresh samples.
Since you want it for free, you need a bit more research
