Armin van Buuren @ The Fountain Club 03-23-07 Review

Just got back from Armin...

I had lots of fun, Armin did a great job as usual, tight mixes, I don't remember any wrecks at all. A nice size crowd cuz it's 21+ with a good amount of room to dance. The lights and the sound system @ the club is awesome. I would definitely go back again

Nice seeing my buddy Trey (mistiso) and his group, and some old TAs....u know who u are

I'll post pics and videos later

Tracklist (Not in order):
Way Out West- The Fall(Richard Durand remix)
Jose Gonzales - Crosses (Danilo Ercole remix)
Filo and Peri feat. Eric Lumiere - Anthem
Ferry Corsten- Beautiful
Super8 And DJ Tab - Needs To Feel (Wippenberg Remix)
Jose Amnesia- Louder (Jon O'Bir remix)
Julian Jewell- Air Conditionne
Armin van Buuren vs Rank1-This World Is Watching Me(Cosmic Gate remix)
Armin van Buuren- Rush Hour
Digweed- Heaven Scent(Kerany Remix)
Chakra vs Markus Schulz-I Am
Armin van Buuren ft Racoon- Loves You More
Andy Moor vs Orkidea- YearZero (Andy Moor's First Light remix)
DJ Eco - light at the end (Lost world remix)
Lange vs Gareth Emery- Another You, Another Me (Terranova and Austin Leeds remix)

yes. there was male-on-male ass grabbage, but i guess that's what you get at a gay club. awesome venue regardless, and the turbo sound (i think it was turbo sound) was incredible.

trance isn't really my cup of tea, but armin definitely played some great tracks throughout the night. when he threw in "air conditionne" early in his set i was pretty surprised to hear him play that but i love that kind of sound.

my only complaint was really the beginning of armin's set. i thought will roland (dj will) played a great set that flowed nicely and was mixed very well... he brought the energy up just right for armin. when will's last track was full on, the crowd was loving it, then armin gets on the decks and the crowd gets even more crazy just knowing armin is behind the dj booth. instead of riding off will's vibe, he gives will's track a few minutes to play (could AVB just not beat match into will's track???) then just stops his track and starts playing the most god awful, 90's sounding trance intro. it was SOOOOO happy sounding. i thought i was in the intro of a cheesy anime show for a minutes. i was literally laughing at how shitty that transition was. other than that mistake in my opinion, the show was a great time. good seeing mario and alok (even though he didnt get in b/c his gf ISN'T 21!).

You seem really concerned with the whole gay venue thing from this post and previous ones. What's your fukin problem? Let people do their thing and enjoy the music.. that's what EDM is all about... Just because they're style isn't "high fiving"... what a t00l

I had SOOOOO MUCH FUN that was much better than last year when he came in the summer like I was left speechless after I walked out. Lame on the no encore and just like booting us out.
