[Trance - 320Kbps] Illusions

Here's a new track I completed tonight. It goes in many different directions. I treated it like an experiment.

Let me know what you think....

2 minutes in, really liked it so far, though the quality doesn't sound 320kbps, it sounds like you have EQ'd the track to cut out high frequencies?

Not much else to say about the track really, very well structured, nice percs and drums, good use of synths, nice bass etc.

I think if you had a cut-up angel-like vocal pad it would make a nice "icing on the cake" for this track.

I'm not EQ'ing out high frequencies. I'm not a mixing expert, so I may need some advice here. Everything seems fine when the drums stop. Maybe they are taking up too much room? Would compressing the kick help here you think?

I didn't notice this last night in my final mix down. I probably had ear fatigue.

Thanks for the listen.

Oooh, I like that choral intro.

That overlaid breakbeat is money.

This has that raw sound that made tracks from the nineties so cool. I'm glad I'm not the only one that seeks this sound in his tracks.

That chord change in the intro is kinda weird at first, but it works later on.

This track seems kinda ADD in the sense that it never finds a groove and stays there for a satisfactory amount of time, which I kinda wish it would do, because I could see this being really good.

@thoughtlessjex, I agree. The song is a bit ADD, but it was sort of an experiment anyway. It went in many different directions on purpose.

Thanks for the listen..
