I've notice that many remixes are in the type of ('x'am remix)
Some : Sasha's 3am remix
System f 5am remix
Blue amazon 6am remix
What all these have in common?
when producer decides to remix his own track in the evening and he works on it hard all night long, not wanting to go to sleep before the masterpiece is ready, and finally finishes it at, lets say 5am, then it will be called 5am mix..
just my theory

I'm guessing it has something to do with what time of day they're meant to be played (in a club)

i think those am mixes are from the producer themselves, cuz most arent called remixes i think, like drax and scott mac - sublime (3am mix) remix i think is by a different artist, while mix is by the original artist, hence original mix and not original remix
