Ear Plugs

I am wondering what type of ear plugs yall use when in a club or when your djing.

I left a club last night and my ears were muffeled for about 6 hours afterwords. Sucked. I know some of yall know what i am talking about.

I know that armin were's ear plugs when in a club and when he is djing also topher jones does to. i just not sure what type they have.

So if yall have some u use when in a club and djing what kind are they?

I broke my expensive ones (the ACS 'moulded' to your ears fellas - known as the Musicians Earplugs (annoyingly without an apostrophe) in the US) which are really the Rolls Royce of ear plugs in my opinion. But, they also cost a lot of money.

Which is why I'm currently just using the Etymotic ER_20's - they have the same (or similar) filter as the ones I just mentioned, but aren't 'tailored' to your own ears.

Take it from someone who'd got really shitty tinnitus - invest in good earplugs now, and use them - you really don't want this ringing in your ears all the time.

Yeppers. I also recommend ER 20s. One of best purchase I've ever made.

Yep, same here - I wear ER-20's whenever I go clubbing after developing slight tinitus in my right ear. I've still got it now but not as bad and it would be a hell of a lot worse if I'd invested in a pair of decent earplugs.

The ER-20's are only about £11 so there's no excuse really.

And also, are they okay to wear while djing? I need earplugs bad but also don't want an annoyance while I am trying to dj.

I don't think so cause they're quite specialist. Check out some decent record shops or on the internet.

Well, the only problem with the ER-20's is they have quite a long stub attached which does get in the way of your headphones but I have seen some with shorter stubs.

Or just cut them off. lol. Might be pain in the ass to get them out if you're drunk though

You can order these earplugs from http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.ne...CFRMFPgodEjCMIg

Ha, the stubs are part of the mechanism that blocks/picks up sound...

They sound pretty decent...

Musicians plugs are the way to go for DJ'in though

I've been wearing a pair for a fair while now that I got custom made, the music sounds exactly the same except quieter; they block all frequencies uniformly by -25dB.

They are great, I wear them all night at clubs, even when I'm not DJing.

One question: does anyone disinfect their plugs? I find I get sore ears sometimes, either from the plug rubbing inside my ear, or maybe a small bacterial infection.

I think it's a good idea to disinfect...
