Depends what you are into. But in terms of nightclubs, the two largest are 1015 and Ruby Skye so those may be the two places to start with and you should go to each at least once each and then see which one is more for you.

Yeps Amoeba is an amazing record store. I try to stay away for fear of finding TOO Many things I like.

Then you also have Reverb, which is right across the street and then a few more on Haight depending on how far down on Haight you want to walk.

You definitely want to check out Reverb Records on Haight Street between Shrader and Stanyan. I'm not sure what the exact address is, but here's the phone # (415)221-4142.

Is it still ghetto down there? I was in the area like 4 years ago or so buying records, I thought for sure I was going to get robbed.

You can't say that you went clubbing in San Francisco if you haven't been to "End Up".

Very True. And make sure to be there at 6am when they serve again and grab a beer.

and go on a Friday, it's the easiest way to meet single ladies

Mezzanine and Mighty are also great places with some great shows coming up, don't forget about them. DNA Lounge and Anu are also nice.
