This techtonic structure is interesting in on itself due to the fact that if an eruption were to occur it would blanket the entire NA continent in 3 inches of ash, and perhaps accelerate or decellerate the "global warming" phenomenon on an order of magnitude. |
this already happened when a volcano in Indonesia errupted and covered the globe in ash/smoke. it was the coldest year on record for many locations on Earth, becuse the smoke/ash caused less solar radiation to reach the surface.
