TranceAddict is a music discussion site not a music download site.

So if you find threads devoted to music downloads or music download requests without any

- accompanied and serious discussion (all forums)
- ID'ing and/or tracklisting efforts (tracks forums)

then post it here with link to allow the mods to get rid of them.

My view:

It's not that big of a deal if someone puts up a link to a mix/dj set since those things were meant to be heard... Only exception is if it is a bootleg and/or a broadcast you had to pay to hear.

Reasoning:

Were it not for such mixes then many would have little chance to listen to this kind of music -- not everyone is graced with big name DJs coming to where they live and/or can listen to the radio to get their fix -- so, enter the Internet.

I do not question that. I fully agree!

But wading in "pure" download threads is not so nice if you expect to see at least a little bit of tracklisting... Maybe one can address that by adding a separate, specific download forum for those who do not care about tracklists, ID'ing and track or set discussions and simply want to share the newest DJ-sets ? That would keep the spam away from the more relevant forums.

There are threads in TOTA for that.
