Question Hey all you Swedes!

In case you haven't already noticed, I'm a Finnish kid currently staying overseas.

So, what are the prices like in Scandinavia? For turntables, mixers, records...?

I just got a pair of Gemini XL-500 II TTs, because there's no way I could've afforded Technics or the likes right now. My mixer is also a real piece of crap. I bought these to get started, but possibly already this summer I will begin to look for a better mixer.

Stockholm is only a boat ride away, anything good over there? I've heard some crazy stories about 1200's costing 800 bucks a piece in Scandinavia etc. Is this true?

Thanks bros, tack so mycket!

Don't buy your gear here. It's really expensive.

Terve! No ei täällä Ruotsissa oo halvat hinnat, Amerikassa ne halvat vehkeet löytyvät! Yks Technics 1210 maksaa noin 2-250 € http://www.123dj.com

Unhappy

Thanks!

That's what I was afraid of...However, I don't have much money (read: NONE!), so I can't buy Techs while I'm here.

Actually, there's nothing wrong with my Geminis, it's the mixer I'm worried about. I have a Numark Bluedog, which basically has 2 channel faders, x-fader and no kills or cuts. To be able to do a bit (yeah, right..."a bit"...) smoother mixes you need these features.

Maybe I will just stick with what I have and forget about those wet daydreams I've been having...=(

Well if you are just looking for a mixer with kills etc, there are a few pretty cheap mixers out there, I bought a 3 channel mixer w/ kills and echo effects, etc etc, for 1500 SEK (About 150 € I think)

here's 2 url's to Swedish online dj stores! It might be good 2 look around there!
