event horizon [psy/experimental] 8:25

Hey! what's up?
I started a somewhat experimental track, (a) because I decided to see if I could make a bassline out of a kick drum and (b ) it turned out to sound a lot like darkpsy. I'm definately not switching to this sound. It was fun though.

time: 8:25
tempo: 153
encoding: 128kbps/streaming
link: here (choose Event horizon)

enjoy

Its well produced, with some very interesting parts...I thoght it is more of a experimental track....just dont think its very suited to the dance floor...but probably it wasnt your intention anyways.... feels really dark, good track all in all....keep it up!

Hey mate,
listening...

the intro sounds experimental, the idea with increasing pitch to total frenzy is not bad.
kick and bass sound GREAT to me. they take no prisoners
in the beginning you have a great layering of sounds... then the tune gets more minimal again with some beeps and stuff here and there. Pretty random, a little without direction I feel. I think you should sometimes try more layers, as I see you can do it pretty well!
Now joining the hard acid SeaWasp sounds. Cool stuff now.
The melody came by surprise. It is a little too loud but otherwise not bad. I like it.
Then comes the part where you distort the melody, now its too loud, and soon stuff gets a little too random for me. Although the melody changes every now and then.
The part with the noise in the background is class, but when all stuff comes together, things get a slight bit muddy.

You have a solid sound overall and a lot of good ideas, but even though you intended this track as experimental, I dont really dig the random direction stuff is heading. i personally think this track needs more of a structure. Good, Keep working!

Beeps!

Tempo track?

Very strange sounds. Liking it so far. Waiting for it to explode.

Neat. But the bassline which i assume is those extremely fast kicks, seems "off" from the main tempo of your track. If you are using some side-chain compression on the "kick-bassline-thing" consider making the release on the compressor a little faster. Because it sounds like it is coming slightly late.

Typical sounds of psy. Strange noises, angry distorted filter thingys. And bleeps, and bloops. Bloopy bleep bleep WAH WAH ZAP ZAP ZAP!

Evil noisy snare.

The track has gotten more interesting. That piano sounding string I think is far too "airy" loosen up that reverb and compress it. Because a lot of your instruments are dry, not alot of effects. So maybe your strang string piano sounding guitar synth we do better with less reverb. Harpiscord thingy.

Back to the evil sounds again. Weeoooweeeoeoeowowoweeeeooo!

I liked your song Mr. Sea Wasp.

Keep up the solid productions. It might be perhaps too experimental for my taste, because that repetative harpiscord piano synth thing's melody can get somewhat irritating. BUT now we're talking just my opinion.

Some good sounds, keep up the good work.

----Adam

Marcelo- thanks

Cy- fair enough, I don't quite think some of the stuff was up to par with everything else

Darkarbiter- uh...? you can download it from my homepage?

DJFreaq- Ehm... thanks Mr.Freaq? anyway I was going for a rawer sound, so I didn't use any compression. I also didn't want the bass and kick to sound like a constant drone, so, for me, it works don't quite know about you though. You seem to like my weird chip sounds though :P...
