Internet Radio a Fad?

Do you guys really log in to Internet Radio and listen? And if yes than how many hours .. a week/day?

When I was a noob I used to listen to di.fm a lot.. but not at all these days.. I may download a set being played on DI later on.. but I hardly log in and listen to it live and stuff..

So my question is do you really log in and listen to Radio on Internet when you are surfing? Or is it you download whats your fav later on...?

your thread title is misleading because what your thread is about doesn't really concern whether or not internet radio is a fad. As for the actual content of the thread, I don't personally listen to internet radio as much as I did when I first got into electronic music. It's a good stepping stone and all that, but any more I just don't listen to it much at all.

i listen all the time.

i've got my own icecast server to make up for a lack of an mp3 player.

also protonradio

but the future is in torrent based radio. i don't know if anyone has done this yet, but imagine a radio and playlist that exists in pieces on hundreds of computers 'subscribed' to a particular radio torrent.

Thats exactly that point I want to make.. Its a good 'stepping stone' .. but when one gets into the theme.. the regular hardly enters that domain again..

Did you know, the reason Daft Punk is big, is because I sent them the original One More Time, that I did on my V-Tech Laptop while I was taking a huge dump, and they just stole it without asking?

I have regular shows I listen to. In this day in age, internet radio is no different to normal radio.

Actually scratch that. It's got more variety, no ads and you can always find something you like.
