Comment my snare plz...

I don't know if I like the percs in this track... Plus Im trying to get the top end to breathe more, it's too static as it is. Any tips?

P.S. I might be looking for a collab with someone, if you have some good drums samples.

coo, drums are pretty static tho, id use a nice expander/compressor over the drum bus.

Yeah an expander might do the trick. I barely ever use them, didn't think it. I need some new drum samples for sure. Know where to get some good freebies? Im trying for a sound like the drums in Royksopp's Eple.

Hey, this is a cool track, interesting style, have you tried altering the velocity on some of the drum hits? The snares static it's true, but its not too shocking, it sort of fits the electro feel of the drums. Also, I wouldn't compress, it sounds over compressed as is, if anything I would lower the compression.

You could also try throwing in some congas and bongos, which always sound cool. Oh yeah, or throw a slap delay or reverb on the snare?
The only other thing I can think of is changing your grid to sixteenth triplets and bumping the hits (esp the three snare hits) into a more groovy position. All of this is assuming you don't want an electro sort of feel, if you want something a bit electroesque then leave it as it is, its good anyway.
