I was driving down the Garden State Parkway tonight. It was pouring rain and my windshield wipers were at full speed.

I was concentrating on them so much that I forgot I was driving.

The rain was so soothing. It felt like I was dreaming.

All of the tail lights were dancing in front of me. Glowing a brighter red every time I saw them.

My attention switched to the sky. A deep glowing purple. It seemed alien to me, as I've never noticed its beautiful uniqueness.

Lightning flashed at odd intervals with a loud and rude thunder clap lagging behind.

How does life become so beautiful? Why don't people notice? Wow.

It's all in how you see things. What you saw to many is a nuisance...those who only enjoy sunny, "nice" weather. If you can look beyond that however you can see something like a storm and lightening as beautiful. Sure, it can be destructive but it is indeed a beautiful phenomenon. Without storms and weather we wouldn't be here and therefore we need to appreciate things such as these much more than we do. The major problem is that so many people fail to notice and take in these things and continue to harm the earth which gives us life. If everyone could stop and appreciate things, this world would be a better place...

I can remember driving to Fort Worth from San Antonio when a thunderstorm was building up. The sun was setting, but the sky was covered over with thick clouds that glowed an eery, dark, bluish green color. Lightning flashing across the sky. Then the rain started and it poured like hell. Beautiful, epic weather.

Thunderstorms are awesome. People think I'm crazy but whenever there's a really violent one, I go for a walk.
