Dust covers

I myself don't like (turntable) dust covers at all, but is there any reason for me to start using them?

I mean, do you put dust covers on your TTs when you're not spinning?

Assuming, of course, that you DO occasionally leave your decks...

dust+anything electronic=bad news

you should keep everything as dust free as you can. Specially your x-fader.

I always use the dust covers when im not spinning. I also put a terry cloth over my DJM600. I spent too much to have dust mess them up.

Ah, the dust covers look terrible, not to mention clumbsy when you want to use your tables. I simply place a towel over my CDJ, Mixer, and Tables whenver I'm not using them. Easy as that.

I use a dust cover on my TTs as well as a piece of cloth to cover my mixer and headphones up. Can't take any chances; these babies cost a bomb!

Plus the dust collects on your slip matts, so when you put on your record and it gets a little static, it pickes up all the crap and it all goes on one record.

I don't have the dust covers for my Technics :-( I bought them second hand, and they came in flight cases without the dust covers, and there's not enough room on my desk to have them in the flight cases. I just end up brushing off dust with my hand whenever I use them.
