Satan (eek!) The most mindblowing documentary I've ever seen

It's part of the What We Still Don't Know documentaries. They explain how our universe, and our whole life experience, could simply be a computer simulation. And they make a very good case for it. The first half or so of the documentary talks about other interesting stuff too, like the true nature of the universe, but the part about a computer simulated universe was the best.

Yeah, I like those and national geographic too. I wish you could get cable and pick just the channels you wanted since so many of them are shit.

LOL @ the Yat accent in the history of New Orleans video.

Oh god I miss that about New Orleans. Everyone in that video sounds like my mom.

love the cosmology documentary, but here's my take...

There are so many questions about the true nature of humans and the universe that most of us take for granted, questions we never seek an answer for. However, the entire complexion of the human being is abstract enough to repell the humble viewer. I think that every single thing we do, ourselves, the events that go on in our lives can be linked to the doepfler effect. Everyone is connected...

interesting obviously

but kind of pointless

they may as well have been a bunch of nerdy high school advanced physics kids getting high for the first time.

a prime example of 'the more you know, the more you know you don't know".

didn't some french guy already write something about "le mauvais génie"?

i was a little disappointed with the documentary, but then again i didn't expect anything else given humankind's track record with the origin of life.

the mathematician with his life game and his thoughts on "cat" was pretty awesome. i had to rewind it after he said "what is a cat?" the first time lol
