That's how I would do it. Have the plus of a formatted partition (always better to install an OS on a clean partition / drive) without having to lose your data. |
ditto +1. i have made that mistake when i actually thought Millenium was a "good product" back in the day, and installed it on 1 partition. boy was i wrong. after that mistake (and not knowing about partition magic, so most of my data), everytime i install a new OS on a hard drive, i make 2 partitions.
