[Melodic Trance] Starburst - God Of The Moon (Original Mix)

Hey guys, I've been working on this one for a couple of weeks now and managed to complete it today. It was a side project to the Jose Amnesia one.

This one has been uploaded at 128 kpbs, because I'm thinking about sending it off to some labels. If you can feedback, I'd be grateful.

Thanks guys

Starburst - God Of The Moon (Original Mix) [128Kbps]

Sounds like a very nice track, think the main melody could do with a bit more volume though? I'm sure other people will have slightly more constructive comments than mine

Thanks for prompt response Bidor, appreciate it, and I'll get it off to some labels and work my way up shortly.

After listening to it, perhaps the melody was something i could of improved on, but hey, there's plenty of time to develop those in future

Heya,

Can only listen on Laptop speakers at the moment so can't comment on technical points but the structure is good and I like the over all feel of the track.

Not sure about getting this signed yet though, you really need to have something that defines the track above others, at the moment this sounds like a lot of other tracks I could mention. I would really like to see you put YOUR personality into this as I feel you have more to offer.

You can make it for two reasons these days. One being that you are able to copy what is about at the moment, and the other if you are able to inject something new to the scene, take Dogzilla for example, nothing complicated but they started with a sound that was definately theirs.

The reason I say this is because I don't think it's beyond you to do this.

I like the track though and will definately give this a listen, would perhaps even like to remix it if I get the time... busy at the moment.

Cheers
Nem

Hey,
I would add a bit of reverb to the clap, sounds to dry for me.
The bass it feels a bit flat, it keeps sounding the same all over and over, I would try to short a bit the intro too, we have two minutes of intro with only introduction to some new sounds.
3:00 minutes by now, and the tune keeps sounding the same, except for some variation in the bass, I feel a lack of melodies to make softer that monotone intro imo.
The break pluck is to plane and dry for my taste, in overall, I would said you have done the classic trance structure as if you would go to school and you would be doing your home work or sort of based in your books only, all sections are pretty predictible, rolls, phares, etc .
The release is pretty nice .

Just gave this a listen on some proper speakers.

In terms of mix down it's not bad.

As Kopi was saying the intro is far too long without much happening and some of the elements are a little dry.

The melody that you introduce in the break could have been developed a bit more, not to mention could stand out more once the track resumes.

What I like about this track is that it has got good drive and shows that you are close to creating something that could get signed but I have to say that unless a remixer gets hold of this and works some magic on it, this track sounds more like the B-Side to a big track.
I don't mean that disrespectfully it's just that it lacks that final melody to make this stand out.

It's still great work and I think your time is just around the corner if this is anything to go by. I have my eye on you...

Cheers
