87% tax, no value for money either. Here, the roads in UK are the worst (constant holes and discrepancies, even on motorways) I've seen in Europe. I just wonder how much of it finances wars...

You should go to Eastern Europe some time. If bad bumpy roads and crazy taxi drivers are your thing, you're in for a hell of a time.
Similar prices don't mean shit. 1.25 lt of fuel will make a car run roughly 9 miles or about 14 km. A bottle of coke is enough for a one time drink.

Actually back about 2005 buying from the same Sydney service station, the coke for about $2-2.20 and the $1.50 or so fuel cost sounds about right, you'd only pay $1.50 for the drink if you bought it from a big supermarket.
