Skype (internet phone) headsets?

While I'm going to fire up Skype for myself, I'm looking for a phone to use with Skype for my mom's friend.

She wants a headset, rather than a corded/wireless handset or speakerphone to use with Skype. I've noticed that these can either plug into some existing IP phones, but with Skype, the phones either plug into the USB port, or they have the two leads that plug into both the microphone and speaker ports.

i'm going to hit Circuit City and Best Buy a bit later, but I haven't seen much on their sites, so I'm thinking I may have to buy one online, and haven't been able to narrow down much in my initial searches.

Has anyone seen headsets around, or had good experiences? Again, they would either have to be USB-based, or have the dual mic/speaker leads.

Thanks

There's tons of headsets avaliable. Depends on your pricerange and what you're looking for, comfort, audio quality etc. I think comfort is a big issue with alot of headsets though.

There are also skype phones. Some even let you use skype without your computer. Just go to skype.com and check out the shop section.

The Philips VOIP841 looks pretty good to me (i was considering getting something like this). I think one good point about it is that you dont need to be at your computer/ have your computer turned on to talk.

I have read alot of reviews on it. Most are pretty positive, but some people have issues with it disconnecting from their wireless connection on and off. Anyways, it's something to consider.

Oh and I believe you can connect a headset to the phone (a phone one though, not computer one).

Thanks guy...I grabbed a Linksys cordless phone that has a base takt plugs into a USB port. I think it was the CIT200, or something similar. You can plug a headset into it, but not a two lead, just a single lead, simliar to what you would plug into your cell phone, but you'd obviously want a microphone on it.

Myself, I have the US Robotics speakerphone, which will work just fine when I hook mine up very soon, since I'll only need the SkypeIn plan, to accept calls for work conference calls.

It will be interesting to see how handy this will come in when I'm in Toronto...
