im guessing put the flanger to one of the sends in reason's mixer then automate the send knob on the channel the snare is at.

Ah that could work thanks TaylorR. I had a thought of putting it through one of the channels but couldnt think of how. Many thanks Ill try that out.

Anything can be automated in Reason.

1 Create a new empty sequencer track.

2 Select that sequencer track to be "CHORUS/FLANGER 1" or whatever the FX is called.

3 Now you can automate every parameter of that effect.

Can be done with any device in Reason.

Hi Adam thanks for the advice, I'm aware of that though. What I needed was to have the flanger effect come in gradually, but that got sorted using the send function.
