Re: Racing/driving sims

I need suggestions for a racing/driving simulator, please. Hardware wise I have the following: Athlon 1600XP, 1GB RAM, 128MB GeForce 6200 on the PC side and a Gamecube on the console side of things. However, with the PS2 being cheap as fuck now, I'm not averse to picking one up if the titles make it worth it.
What'd I prefer: a sim that offers the ability to drive a variety of cars (preferably with a cabin/cockpit view option) in a variety of settings.
I'm sure most will be racing inspired, but I'd really prefer something that would just simulate driving with no particular goal/time/opponent to beat. Just the ability to cruise and blare some good tunes.
Does such a thing exist? Thanks. |
Well the GTA games are available on just about all platforms. With your specs, I wouldn't recommend one of the newer racing sims on the market as it'll barely run. What about the Need for Speed series?
I haven't played them personally but I heard they're quite fun.
