This is a new experimental set. After going to a local bar last night that generally plays good house music, they were actually playing alot of techno/minimal last night and I really enjoyed what I was hearing. So today I bought some new tunes to experiment with and the outcome is pretty damn good This was my very first run through on the tracks i just bought and havent heard yet.

Guy J - Avant-Garde
Workidz - Work it
NuBreed - NuFunk (Deadmau5 Remix)
Mobbing - Open Legs
Audion - Noiser
Shlomi Aber - Freakside
D. Ramirez - Pleasure Me
Chris Liebing - D
Randy Katana, Nick Larson - FDV (Randy's Edit)
Dubfire - Roadkill
Agent Greg, Audiopunch - Symphony of Love
Mark Knight, D Ramirez - Throb
16 Bit Lolitas - Goodbye Pluto (version 2)
Marcelo Castello - We Are the Dance

Well, to be quite honest I'm not sure this set agrees with me.

The beginning is kinda empty techno-ish sounding, then it hits into electro, then into freakside... Then it turns back to electro and heads into tech house towards the end, not to say combining lots of genres is a bad thing, its what you gotta do as a DJ but you need to use transition tracks to make the switch between styles a little more seemless.

All to say, for a quick run through of your tunes that you'd just bought and hand't heard, I'd say it was quite good!

Peace

^^^This is a techno track and it is quite minimal but the rest of your tracklist is electro-house imo.

If you want to be a dj proficient in playing multiple genres, as Alex mentioned tranistion tracks (that are boring to most people) become much more important. Being someone who has built my dj career on blurring the line between genres long, layered mixes work best where you need these smooth transitions.
Its a challenging way to play, keep at it

I appreciate the feed back. What do you mean exactly by transition tracks? Have any examples I can check out to get a better idea and feel for what your explaining? Thanks again

Well by transition tracks we mean a track that is you know, half tech half electro that would be played in between the tech half of your set and the electro half of your set, a tune that would smoothly lead you from Tech to Electro without any abruptness.

They are almost essential when you mix more than one style in a mix, they don't HAVE to be boring tracks or "filler", it is however a challenge to find a transition track that REALLY compliments what you are trying to do with it and that maintains the flow of the mix, but hey it's part of the DJ's job, some people don't think this much into it, others do, to each his own mate!
